It has been quite some time since I have posted on here and so much has changed in the world. Yet I hope and pray that you, dear ladies are going strong in the Lord. I have not felt lead to write on the pandemic, my opinions or insights. Yet I have felt very much a need to write on the topic of ‘preparing ourselves for the Lord,’ and why it is so important to do so now.

What exactly do I mean by ‘preparing ourselves for the Lord?’

Firstly, I believe that everyone within the body of Christ has a gift or calling that they can use to help and edify the body. There are some who are called to prophesy and reveal what is behind what is happening in the World and how it relates to Scripture. I am so thankful for the various gifts and callings given to brothers and sisters in Christ. Personally I feel the calling to teach other women biblical womanhood as found in Titus 2:5 and to be ready as the Bride of Christ. To cleanse ourselves and to not be conformed to the world and it’s ways.

To surrender our will to the will of God so that we may be able to be used by Him. (To be a vessel of honour). 2 Timothy 2:20.

Why is this so important? Especially in these times?

It has grieved me to hear fellow believers fretting and fearing over what is happening around us and looking for solutions from the world! Looking for hope in earthly promises that will never save us! How I pray that the body of Christ would have their spiritual eyes opened and return to the Lord with all of their heart. I pray this for myself also as I do not want to be deceived and turn away from the Lord Jesus Christ, following after false gods.

This past year has been an amazing opportunity for unbelievers and believers alike, to forsake all idols and come into relationship with the Lord. Instead of having fear of what is happening and Trusting in wicked men, we should be having fear of the living God and put our Trust and hope in the Lord Jesus Christ who will return soon for his bride. The Church. (His people). So how do we do this?

Fear God and keep his commandments

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:

Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all.
14 For God will bring every work into judgment,
Including every secret thing,
Whether good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

Above all, no matter what happens we should be living for the Lord. To make sure that we are abiding in Christ and found to be doing His will. Preparing ourselves for the Lord.

For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. Romans 14:8

I may not be able to control with what is happening in the world around me, but I do have control over how I live out my own walk with Christ and I will be accountable for how I have lived my life. Instead of getting caught up and bound in fear for what the future holds, I can instead look to the work that the Lord has set before me. To serve my family and others. To surrender my will daily and allow God to shape my character and make me more Christlike. To be fruitful by walking in the Spirit not the flesh. To use my gifts and calling to serve others.

As Godly women our Ministry is at home.

The Virtuous Wife

10 Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
12 She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
13 She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
She brings her food from afar.
15 She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for her household,
And a portion for her maidservants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
From her profits she plants a vineyard.
17 She girds herself with strength,
And strengthens her arms.
18 She perceives that her merchandise is good,
And her lamp does not go out by night.
19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hand holds the spindle.
20 She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of snow for her household,
For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
22 She makes tapestry for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies sashes for the merchants.
25 Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many daughters have done well,
But you excel them all.”
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates

Continue in the Path

Ladies, this is what we are called to do. We must continue in the path that the Lord has set before us, seeking to please Him in all our ways. As I have been focusing on my role as a a wife and homemaker, I have felt incredibly blessed and hidden in Him. He is our shelter and protection. I am thankful that I am not out in the world but can minister to others right from my home. The world desperately needs us to be salt and light right now. Our ministry must first be our own household and then we may minister to others in the way the Lord has leads.

May God bless the work of your hands.
